Our Approach

The best way to have your child grow and develop age-appropriate skills is through play-based therapy. At CPH, we provide evidenced-based early intervention and speech, language, and feeding therapy designed to help children improve speech intelligibility, strengthen language and communication skills, develop safe and efficient feeding abilities, and build confidence and independence across daily routines.

Connect with an experienced speech-language therapist to learn how specialized, play-based care can best support your child’s speech, language, communication, and feeding development.

We specialize in the assessment and treatment of expressive and receptive language disorders, language-processing difficulties, speech sound disorders—including articulation challenges and childhood apraxia of speech, and fluency disorders.

Feeding services support children with dysphagia, oral motor difficulties, pediatric feeding disorder (PFD), and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). We also have experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and a wide range of developmental, communication, and medical needs.

Evaluations help us better understand your child’s speech, language, oral motor, and feeding skills. Through this process, we identify your child’s strengths and areas that need support, allowing us to create personalized goals and a therapy plan designed specifically for your child’s needs.

Speech & Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy is designed to support your child’s overall communication development. Treatment target speech intelligibility, receptive and expressive language skills, age-appropriate concepts, social communication, and the use of multiple communication modalities to help your child communicate more effectively across daily routines.

Oral & Feeding Therapy

Feeding therapy supports children in developing the oral motor skills, strength, coordination, and confidence needed to safely and efficiently eat and drink a variety of consistencies. Therapy also support children with avoidant or restrictive feeding behaviors by helping them build more positive, comfortable, and functional relationships with food. Because feeding and speech both rely on coordinated oral motor movements, feeding therapy also supports improved awareness and control of the oral structures used for speech sound production and feeding skills.
